উম্মে মাইসুন বাংলা মাধ্যমের ছাত্রী হয়েও বাচ্চাদের জন্য ইংরেজি শেখার ভিডিও বানায়। ১৩ বছরের মাইসুন মা-বাবার সঙ্গে চট্টগ্রাম শহরেই থাকে। পড়াশোনা করছে বাংলাদেশ মহিলা সমিতি বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের সপ্তম শ্রেণিতে। ছোটবেলা থেকে ইংরেজি ভাষার প্রতি ঝোঁক ছিল তার। এ জন্য অনেকটা নিজে নিজেই এই চর্চা শুরু করে। এক সময় পোক্ত হয়। সে পরিচিতি পায় করোনার সময়ে ২০২০ সালের জুনে টেন মিনিট স্কুলের একটি ভিডিও থেকে। সেটি ছিল তার মতো অন্য বাচ্চাদের জন্য ইংরেজি শেখানোর ভিডিও। এরপর থেকেই বাচ্চাদের জন্য ফেসবুক পেজে ও ইউটিউবে স্পোকেন ইংলিশের ভিডিও তৈরি করে চলেছে সে। এ পর্যন্ত সে তৈরি করেছে ২২৭টি টিউটোরিয়াল ভিডিও, যেগুলো দেখেছে কোটি কোটি মানুষ। তার একটি ভিডিও সর্বোচ্চ ৩ কোটি ২২ লাখ মানুষ দেখেছে। মাইসুন’স ওয়ার্ল্ড (Maisun’s World) তার ফেসবুক পেজ ও ইউটিউব চ্যানেলের নাম। তার আরও তিনটি বই রয়েছে— ‘ছোটদের স্পোকেন ইংলিশ ১ ও ২,’ অপরটি উপন্যাস ‘দ্য এমারেলড স্টোন’।
